You all know that I LIVE at the theater. One of my projects is that I am co-directing the children's show. It's kids in grades 1 - 7. We are doing a musical this year for the first time in a L O N G time. At auditions, there was only ONE kid who was so nervous that she melted down didn't even do a scene reading....yeah, that was Thea.
Last night when we were running the group numbers, my girlie made me SO proud. There are some solo lines and then the whole group comes in....well, the solos got sung and then the point where everyone is supposed to come in.....and there was a lone voice; on key, on time, strong and clear. Yup. It was my girlie. She knew all her cues, all her lyrics and all her lines. She was cueing all the other kids. I was so proud of her for being the center of attention and NOT losing it to her shyness.
